Treating genital warts?

Do genital warts clear out on their own after a period of time?

I know it's best to get them treated by a topical cream by prescription or with surgery but I'm curious to know how the infection works without treatment.

Most do not go away on there own. They get worse. I've seen pictures of warts growing on worse and soon the genitals look deformed and they become unrecognizable. I'm HPV positive and have been for four years. I have had one break out. (four years ago) I had it treated quickly and have no scaring.

Please see your OB/GYN. Genital warts are very serious and can cause cervical cancer. So make an appointment ASAP in the event that something is lurking they will be able to treat it early. However there is no " cure" for gential warts they can only be surpressed much like herpes.
