Hey Citizen,

Well, since they tried Prohibition in the 1920's (by Constitutional amendment, no less!), and it didn't work!

Since they have never legalized Marijuana, and you can get it on most street corners/from friends.

Since they will never be able to prohibit tranquilizers or other sedatives;

And since the governments make sooo much money in taxes on booze, my guess is:

NOPE!

Great question, though!

Wake up sheepole. You're giving up more rights every day. You're allowing the government more and more control over your lives with each passing minute. Is it possible right this minute, probably not. But who would have thought the government would ever regulate (code word for control) everything is does now. Give it time, it will happen and it will be done for the "protection of our children".

Hmm. Interesting question. With the NEOCONS taking over power in so many fields, they would love to have alcohol banned. But, I think that they know that too many people would protest against it. US wine areas bring in a TON of money - so you'd be putting tens of thousands of people out of work. That's not good politics for anyone.

They tried that 70 or 80 years ago and it was a complete failure. Remember the Prohibition? Lot's of criminals got rich because they made and sold alcohol illegally, such as Al Capone, for example.

Nothing is impossible but it is very unlikely that the big alcohol companies would ever allow prohibition in the U.S. again... maybe in a communist regime the state could control that but not here

No way. The USA has been there and done that and it was a dismal failure and created the organized crime society as we know it today. People would just make their own "shine". It's very easy to do. One way or another we will always have alcohol - forever!!

if it was to ever happen, the same thing thats happening to drugs would happen to alcohol, meaning the prices would go up, more mobs would be created, and the quantity would remain the same. Also there'd be a bigger need for police to track smugglers... so iost definetly impossible

Didn't work in the '20s, won't work now.

Though the Sin Police can't be convinced of that. Once they succeed in getting rid of tobacco, alcohol or fatty foods are next.

They've already tried to do a prohibition here, back between 1919 and 1931. It didn't work out, since they /are/ selling alcohol again.

impossible.
even if they did, people could just travel down to mexico for like a day and get all the alcohol they need.
