There are different vegetarians,
Vegans or pure vegetarians
Lacto-vegetarians - Consume dairy products
Lacto-ova-vege.. - Consume dairy product and eggs
Non-Vegetarians - not vegetarians
I have also heard about vegetarians eggs which dont contain embryo.
But sometimes I have seen hens kept like packed cards. So I am not able to eat it.

Vegans do not eat any animal products, including anything with eggs and dairy in it. Chickens and dairy cows are treated very cruelly. Chickens are stuffed 4-5 in a cage, and can't spread their wings or even move. They would peck each other to death, so to prevent this, their beaks are cut off without any anesthia. They get very sick but are not taken care of. When their egg production declines, they may be starved without food or water for 2 weeks in order to force another egg laying cycle. Then they are sent to slaughter.
Dairy cows are bred and pumped with hormones to produce several times more milk than they would naturally. Their bones weaken and many times they can't even walk and can barely stand. Their babies are ripped from them within 24 hours of birth. After this treatment, when their milk production goes down, they are sent to endure the horrors of the slaughterhouse.
Vegans are opposed to this treatment. Eggs (and dairy) are not veg.

Depends on if you're vegetarian or vegan.
An egg itself is not a meat product, but it does come from an animal. Vegans generally don't eat the egg because the chicken that produced it was not treated properly. It is taking a stand against cruelty to chickens.

It's vegetarian, just not vegan.
For crying out loud, it's not an embryo, an unborn chicken and if you left it long enough it wouldn't hatch. It's an unfertilised egg; when you women have a period you're getting rid of an unfertilised egg, just one that's smaller and has no shell, apart from that, there is no difference at all.
If you're against if for the way the chickens are treated, fair enough, I don't agree with you, but fair enough; but to suggest that it's a baby chicken is just playing on peoples emotions and is a lie.

Technically speaking, It's veg. Because there is no life in the egg it's yet to be formed. But many vegetarians avoid it, may be just because of this ambiguity .

It depends on what kind of vegetarian you are. If you're a Lacto-Ovo vegetarian like me, than it is veg. But if you're a Lacto vegetarian or vegan, than is nonveg.

I think a egg is both, because the white part of the egg is vegetarian and the yellow part of the egg is nonvegetarian.
