If the girl has some other bacterial infection of urethra, that does not mean that she has chlamydia.
Chlamydia is caused by the bacteria chlamydia trachomatis.
Much chlamydial infection goes undiagnosed, because the infection is often without symptoms.
However, it can cause vaginal bleeding and discharge, abdominal pain, fever and inflammation of the cervix in women.
And in men, it can cause a watery or milky discharge from the penis, swollen or tender testicles and a burning feeling while urinating.
The long term complications can be severe, especially for women where it can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy and infertility.
Between 20% and 50% of children born to women with chlamydia will be infected.
Chlamydia is the leading cause of neonatal conjunctivitis, an eye infection in babies that can cause blindness.
However, it is easy to treat with antibiotics.
Please see the webages for more details on Chlamydia.

no a bacterial infection will not cause chlamydia..women and men can get chlamydia through sexual contact with an infected person. Chlamydia can be passed during vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Because there are often no symptoms, people who are infected may unknowingly pass chlamydia to their sex partners.. If symptoms do occur, they usually appear within 1 to 3 weeks of exposure. Symptoms, if any, might include an abnormal vaginal discharge or a burning sensation when urinating. The infection is often not diagnosed or treated until there are complications. If you think you have chlamydia or are concerned about it, both you and your sex partner should see a doctor right away.

Chlamydia is not CAUSED by a normal infection. However, you may have had it and not have known. Chlamydia is hard to diagnose in women because of the lack of symptoms at first. But, if you were both tested, and you both came up clean, and now you have it, then, one of you got it from someone else. Good luck, I hope that this helps.
