My doctor is concerned about the blood sugar levels. I agree I shouldn't be overly concerned. I am 112 lbs and eat almost no sugar. I do consume complex carbs more than sugar.

101 is not a high sugar level. It is actually a good number to have. But thyroid disease should not be a factor. Meds, might be on the other hand making the sugar go up.. but at 101,, you have nothing to worry about.

Questions like this need to be addressed to your doctor, but I do wonder why you think 101 is a high blood sugar level. From Wikipedia:

"Normally, blood glucose levels stay within narrow limits throughout the day: 70 to 150 mg/dl. Levels rise after meals and are usually lowest in the morning, before the first meal of the day."

Therefore, 101 is well within the normal range.

Your doctor can usually have made available to you a nutritionist or other program to meet your individual needs and advise on diet and losing weight..It would be unwise to direct you here, not knowing your individual needs, and medical history.. etc. I am diabetic .. I learned a lot going.. Just ask your doctor.. many programs are free / covered by your insurance. Some counties have programs you can attend as well. i was surprised at what i can eat, i thought could never have again.. i use splenda instead of regular sugar.. Exercise, and doing it right by following proper guidelines is important.. and get the stress off.. that has been the biggest challenge for me... It affects so many areas of ones life with diabetes i have found out. It isn't all bad news.. it is life changes.. But, by following the advise of your doctor , you'll have a far better out look on life than thought it would be at first. If you don't get the support you feel need with your doctor, get another doctor... good luck..

101 is not a high number for sugar, even if you are on meds for diabetes. Why do you think it is?
I've been hypo-thoroidic for years..long before I was diagnosed as type-2. You should look into "syndrome X" also called "the syndrome", especially if you're a male. This involves the low thyroid, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, gaining weight around the middle and then the ensuing diabetes.
the early signs are frequent low blood sugar episodes!

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.
