it's kind of a vague question, but if you are looking for ways to see if the antibiotics are doing the job that they are meant to, here is a list of what I have to look for frequently as a nurse.
1. vitals signs>>>especially the temperature (an increase/decrease in temp is a very good indicator of how well the antibiotic is working
2. assessment of lungs/lung sounds (all lung fields should sound equal, with the no abnormal sounds)
3. monitor frequency and productivity of any cough that is present
4. monitor for c/o pain/discomfort in back, neck , stomach and chest
5. monitor activity level of the person....the better they feel, the more they will want to do
6. a repeat chest x ray is usually done 3-4 days post AB therapy

Monitoring pneumonia treatment is primarily done by using a stethoscope and listening to the way the lungs sound.

Pnuemonia is monitered by Chest Xray, important vitals would be heart reate, which could be increased with a fever, blood pressure, which is generally lower with sickness and temperature. A high white blood cell count is indicative of infection, so that it monitered also.
