i am going to australia and my brother wants to know if i can bring him home some kangaroo jerkey. is that entirely possible?

Oh yes they do, Im staring at a packet right now.
About bringing in such foods through customs and authorities at the airport - could be a real hassle, I suggest (feels a tinge of guilt) its easier to just pack it somewhere between your clothes in the luggage hopefully they wont find it there

You might have a problem bringing it through customs. Check with them before you leave. Or hide them.
