Sorry, I have a thing for trying to figure out why things start when they have to have something else to start them, but they aren't started without that something.

AIDS came from somebody having sex with a monkey. They proved that. Other than is humans the only other place to find AIDS is in monkey's in the south african jungle.
HPV mutated into a virus that grows best in wet dark places
Herpes did the same
as for the rest I have no freakin clue.

HIV/AIDS started from monkeys. Most of the others probably started from a mutation of a common virus or bacteria into something that could be transmitted from human to human. Kinda like bird flu, although it hasn't mutated into a human-to-human thing yet.

Not being a scientist -- I would say they could originate through a viral infection or something, which mutates in the body to be a STD when transferred.

probably some man/woman got it from the apes. at least humans got AIDS from chimpanzees or so I heard. i m sure that the police is still (the 1st case is probably not too old) investigating (crime against nature) unless s/he has already been caught.

i don't know about the other STDs, but i heard a story (from multiple sources) that AIDS started with a missionary doing a gorilla or monkey in africa...

A lot of it is about drugs......If you use the same needle you could get aids.......hiv......and well abt the others im not quite sure.
