Cucumbers are good in a standard green salad (cucumber, tomato, lettuce and carrots) or dipped in tzatziki (yoghurt dip) or a greek salad (iceberg lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, olives, feta cheese cubes, red onion, splash of olive oil and herbs) or in an Indian yoghurt dish called raita (where you add grated cucumber, salt, pepper and some specific ingredients such as cumin, green chilli, coriander etc) or the plain old cucumber sandwich - white bread and butter with cucumber slices - which posh English people used to eat!

I like them plain, with salt. My neice likes hot salsa, even tabasco sauce. I know people who make cucumber sandwiches on white bread with mayonaise, salt and pepper. Of course, they add some variety to green salads.

tossed with tomatoes in vinegar and pepper and mixed garlic. put it all in a container add water if the vinegar has too much of a bite for you and then put it all in the fridge for like 20minutes so they get cold. then all you have to do is enjoy. Sometimes I cut up and onion for extra flavor
