1. Your partner must have gotten it from somebody else.
2. Chances are that you will get it too (unless you stop having sex with him/her).
3. As a responsible person, your partner should warn everybody he/she has had sex with about his/her problem. This way they can have a test done themselves and if positive, get medical help.

Factors that can interfere with your test or the accuracy of the results include:
Urinating before (within 2 hours) of collecting a urine sample or a sample of fluid from the urethra.
Contamination of a rectal sample with stool.
The use of antibiotics before the test.
Douching or using vaginal creams or medications 24 hours before the test.
Chlamydia tests involve testing a sample of body fluid or urine to determine whether chlamydia bacteria (Chlamydia trachomatis) are present and may be the cause of an infection.
Chlamydia tests Normal:
No chlamydia antigens or DNA are found. If a culture is done, no chlamydia bacteria grow in the culture. Additional testing for other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) may be needed to determine cause of symptoms.
Abnormal:
Chlamydia antigens or DNA are found. If a culture is done, chlamydia bacteria grow in the culture.

if you are a boy, maybe you didn't get it.... i have heard that guys are less likely to contract std's just cause they have a closed system; ie, a small little hole as opposed the a large area of mucus membrane a girl has. however this doesnt mean you should be sleeping around cause just cause its not impossible. either way dont have sex with your partner til you are both treated, and if i were you i would still tell my doctor i wanted antibiotics cause my partner has an infection. annnnd get tested for other things, cause having one std makes it more likely that you have others.

sounds like your partner has been screwing around with someone else. You may have had a false negative. If you've had sex with them since their test came back positive, get tested again.

It seems that your partner has been cheating on you. Were you treated for a yeast infection or anything like that lately? If not your partner has not been faithful.

DUH!
Obviously, your "faithful" partner is not!
They should be contacting whomever else they have been with!
