i am going to australia and i want to know whether or not they acrually eat kangaroo there

yes they do. it's reputably quite delicious. and really, I find baby kangaroos as cute as a button but don't sic me with the Disney crap. Apparently (disclaimer; I've never been Down Under) kangaroos are quite common and have been eaten by Aborigines and others for thousands of years as one of the few large native mammals. I have always wanted to live there but am concerned about
1 lack of water
2. Australia's LONG distance away from any other country
3 ethnic tensions which I have read about in the news; white Aussies vs. middle easterners...

Yep. Kangaroo is a great food source - they're a pest, they've been hunted for thousands of years, and they're better for the environment than cows because they have soft paws which won't damage the ground.
The meat is nice, lean, and very high in iron. Wonderfully nutritious, and you get the added benefit of telling people they're eating skippy. Mwahahahaha!

Yes they do...I´ve seen kangaroo pizzas in Sydney.....
I´ve heard them say that the kangaroo is a plague
so maybe they don´t consider the kangaroo as a cute furry little animal like we do......

Yes we do a lot of good restaurants sell it, you can also buy roo steaks in supermarkets, Kangaroo meat is very lean and really tasty. Try some when you get here.Also emu, and crocadile are available.

I am Australian - live in NSW, and yes we do eat Kangaroo here - even crocodile! But not all people eat, I dont. Kangaroo just tastes like beef. But I still dont like it.

YES! and it taste like ordinary beef... trust me when i say you wouldnt know you're eating kangaroo meat unless someone did. lol. have fun in australia!
