I live in the Melbourne (Australia) suburb of Brunswick East, which is home to many excellent Indian restaurants. The best restaurant though, is Thai Nee Cafe, a Thai restaurant. It's small, cosy, and in Winter they have an open-fire in an old bluestone fireplace. The food is always excellent - I've never had a bad (or even average) meal there.

I live in Nashville, TN, a very fun town! We have lots of great restaurants, representing most every ethnic cuisine one can think of. There are of course, wonderful places with southern cuisine. Some notables are the Loveless Cafe and Swetts. Very yummy! Nashville has a sizable Mediterranean population, and there are some very good Turkish, Greek, and Lebanese restaurants. My favorite is Anatolia. The food is wonderfully prepared and spiced. Visit Nashville and try lots of cuisines. You must try Noshville, the Jewish deli!

Nashville - depending on your taste for the evening and the amount of money you want to spend - Jimmy Kelly's - Morton's and Ruth's Chris - all great steak places. I love Ruth's Chris. "Chris" is the process that the restaurant indulges to make their steaks 'fork-cutting delicious"! When your steak arrives, they advise you to pull the napkin up to your face because the rich butter/seasoning is so hot and popping, you can get burned. Now that's a steak! You and your party can share the side dishes which are in huge bowls that you can eat on for days. There's Valentino's for Italian and Razz'z for a variety. Razz (owner and chef) will come and sit at your table and talk with you. You never walk away unsatisfied there. Outdoor seating for summer and fall enjoyment. As soon as he gets his permit - jazz music on the patio...Here, we really enjou soul food and fixings (cat fish and corn bread!) Plenty of those in the area. Fresh hot, all you can eat with FRIED GREEN TOMATOES! WOW!

Baltimore, MD... Babalu Grill my new favorite.

But all time favorite will be Morimoto, Philadelphia, PA... A Steven Starr Creation, with the "Iron Chef" there once a month cooking (whats not to like) and the ambiance by Karim Rashid... oh my god, perfection is taste from all the 5 senses... mmm.

There is a New "Morimoto" in NYC!

i live in cincinnati and the best restaurant depends on the type of food you like. personally Skyline is the best fast food followed bye quite a few local places.
I hate chaines, they are so predictiable! nothing special no culture or flair. I could go on forever with names of places that you would never know. Find Mom and Pop there the best!
