I've been doing well for several months, but I fear I may 'relapse'. Do you have any suggestions for curbing my white-meat desires?

I also am a vegetarian newbie. Actually, I am a vegan, no animal products whatsoever. And contrary to one of the other answers, being vegan/vegetarian is the healthiest option out there. There is only one trace element found in animal products that is not found in plant foods, and that is vitamin B12. If you are a vegan, you can buy Red Star Nutritional Yeast to get this nutrient.

Why did you choose to be vegetarian? If it is for health reasons, it will probably be much harder to stick to your new diet. Please think of some of the ethical problems that also come with eating meat, such as the torture the animals endure. This may make it harder for you to eat meat. I've only been vegan for about a month, but after learning what I did, it is hard for me to even see meat, because I know what the animals went through. Also, think of all the unhealthy stuff in your meat: chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, carcinogens. Do you really want to put that in your body?

Hope I helped!

I've been a vegetarian for several years now and every so often I get cravings for meat, particularly chicken. To combat those cravings I eat Boca Burgers. ( http://www.bocaburger.com/ ) There are quite a few different products you can try out that taste exactly like chicken and they taste so good!

Please remember that being a veggie is not the best option for good health, despite what you might be told.

Humans have the stomachs of carnivores, we need meat, although not too much. Meat contains trace elements not found in other food sources.

A good balanced diet is best for your long term health.

If you fancy chicken have some and end the craving, a little of what yo fancy does you good.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't be hard on yourself. Becoming vegetarian is a lifestyle change that takes time. Let yourself have meat a little bit, then on the next time you crave it, replace it with a soy or tofu substitute.

You consume despite the fact which you prefer to consume. in case you prefer to consume salmon, consume salmon. that is not vegetarian however. Vegetarianism rests fullyyt on the tenant of no longer ingesting animal flesh of any style inspite of the species. yet there are actually not any regulations to dwelling your life and what you prefer to consume. So in case you prefer to be a vegetarian with the finished wisdom and dedication which you extremely prefer to provide up meat of all kinds, then gain this of your own loose will. in case you do no longer already see a element to it, yet are pondering it besides, i'm not sure what sort of reaction you will possibly be searching for concerning a "element". As for the wellness advantages, there could be wellness advantages to any nutrition regimen that's prosperous with genuine and organic meals, with none pre-packeged quickly nutrition junk. So sure, in case you carry on with ingesting genuine vegetation, healthful and organic fat, and finished grains, you will see healthful variations in a vegetarian nutrition regimen. yet while no longer ingesting meat interprets into ingesting all styles of risky and extremely available vegetarian meals (ie, cookies, chips, ice cream, taco bell) then it extremely is as risky as an omni nutrition regimen.

I suggest you eat a bit of chicken. Chances are, after not eating it for several months, you won't enjoy it like you thought you would (it might even gross you out, since your tastes are higher now), and your craving will be cured.

Try some of the Quorn products, it's so close to chicken it's spooky!
The Gruyere cutlets are fantastic. Morningstar and boca also make breaded chicken style cutlets and nuggets.
