Chicken tikka is the dish itself- the meat cooked that way. Tikka masala is the spices used for that dish.

chicken tikka MASALA is the cooked meat, mixed with other spices, put on skewers with other thingss
chicken tikka is a meal
chicken tikka masala is also a meal but is technically considered more of a tiffin or snack
and to make chicken tikka masala you MUST first have chicken tikka already made.
