It is not clear from your question weather or not you are HIV pos.
If you are in doubt I urge you to have yourself tested.
if you do test positive you must tell any prospective partner.

Since you said might...I'm assuming you mean you were possibly infected. If that is the case you should not sleep with anyone until you find out your status. At 3 months past exposure you will have a definitive answer. It is against the law to not tell someone you are HIV+ if you sleep with someone. Although, HIV is not necessarily a death sentence anymore it is a lifelong illness. If you infect someone with HIV and you were documented positive you will go to jail. If you turn up positive you should tell all future partners and let them decide what they want to do. Regardless of what people think, consistent condom (intact condom) use although not 100% is pretty good at preventing HIV. If you turn up positive make sure you make an appointment with a good HIV specialist to get on viral drugs and learn how to have the safest sex.

It is CRITICAL that you share this news. HIV virus can be spread by blood to blood contact. So MAKE sure you tell people that you are HIV positive. Of course that will result in many people ending the relationship right there because many people will get freaked out. It doesn't mean you will never have another relationship if you tell though. There are plenty of good people who will understand and anybody who does leave you solely because you were HIV positive wasn't worth being with anybody. You ARE putting people at risk so it is important that you do TELL. If you are too ashamed to tell, then you shouldn't be having sex in the first place.

If you are HIV positive and you dont tell someone then if they get it you can get in trouble and I mean BIG trouble for it. I have read cases where people were charged with attempted first degree murder for having unprotected sex with someone being HIV positive and not informing their partener about it. In some states, persons who are aware of their infection but who knowingly put their sex partners at risk or intentionally attempt to infect someone are subject to criminal penalties

I believe that if you were to test positive for HIV you should disclose this to your sexual partners. I believe that there could be legal ramifications if you did not disclose that fact and someone was exposed and contracted HIV from you (if you were positive and you knew you were before being intimate with them).

If you believe you are HIV positive and sleep with somebody
without warning them, you can be charged with attempted murder.

There was a guy in the news about a week ago that was
charged with four counts of attempted murder for doing just
that.

i've got self belief like being HIV useful could be a hard element to regulate and in my view stay with(for one's own self). So i think of it extremely is as much as the guy who's "contaminated" to decide on in the event that they like to tell the different guy or woman. If the HIV useful guy or woman is desiring a sexual relationship with the different guy or woman then you might could tell them...yet as far as purely an common roommate, i've got self belief it extremely is their own decision as long as they make absolute useful their isn't a threat with spreading the ailment, or contaminating family individuals issues( the two issues i don't comprehend very plenty approximately). i might prefer to comprehend if my roommate substitute into HIV useful, yet while they in no way informed me approximately it and then i found out later down the line, then i might have the means to comprehend why they did no longer prefer to proportion this archives with me.

You are morally obligated to inform any potential sex partners that you are HIV positive. Then it's up to them to take the risk or not.
