It actually sounds like an arrhythmia called atrial fibrillation to me. Could also be PACs or PVCs. He needs to see a physician and be evaluated. And yes, arrhythmias come and go. This is common. And treatable.

Take him to the doctor again or go to emerge he could have atrial fibrillation which is a rapid heatbeat. This can result in a blood clot because the heart beats too fast and blood accumulates in the heart. This is urgent, so go as soon as possible. If it is only an anxiety attack, so be it-
at least it wasa checked out properly.

It could be anxiety/panic attack. My husband 28 has high blood pressure but a few years ago started out of no where getting anxiety/panic attacks. He would get real anxious and have a high pulse.
It also could be tachycardia. When for some reason your neurons for your heart fire weird and you either have a low pulse or high. Either way he needs to go see a doctor. Tell him if he really loves you and wants to be with you for a long time he needs to go! Especially if he has children.

Have you considered the possibility that your husband may be suffering from Anxiety or Panick Attacks?? At least two of the symptoms that you mention are usally present in either panick or anxiety disorders, which are best controlled with anti-anxiety medications like Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Buspar (to name the leading 4)...so if you haven't thought about this, now may be the time. I mention this merely from personal experirnce over a number of decades so if you haven't considered it, now may be the time. The medications are generally mild, but they work wonders for this type of disorder.

I would try to get him into the ER again. Is he complaining of any jaw pain or arm/back pain. My dad was in the hospital having tests run with symptoms like this and they caught the heart attack in time-as he was laying on the table waiting for his test to start. Just to rule out a heart attack I would try to persuade him to go. But I understand where you are coming from as my dear hubby would rather an arm fall off before going to the DR/ER. Good luck!!

Could be stress or anxiety, but you should persuade him to talk to a doctor. Since you talk about "emergency room" I'm guessing you are American, but - hey - why not have a look at the British "NHS Direct" and do a search on the symptoms you describe. The link is as follows ...

Of course you can refuse an epidural. I'm a first-time mom as well and am hoping for a natural birth. That being said, if the pain gets to be too much for me, I will ask for some sort of pain relief but I am having a doula in the room with me to help with with natural ways of pain relief.

If he's got crazy heart problems, I'd take it seriously. Go to a doctor, if he says it's nothing really, he might just need to run around some more. You know, get it used to...working.

get him to a doctor... tell him to follow up on taking care of his hypertension...
and have them or well they will take a blood panel from him to see how his blood chemistry is.
hypertension is nothing to laugh at.. i have malignant hypertension and it took away most of my eyesight and nearly killed me... it's damaged my heart along with my brain... so on.
if he don't want to do it.. tell him he gave up some of his rights when he fell in love with you.... and you have some say... you care about him and he must listen and stop being a fool about his life.
there!
but seriously get him to a doctor this week... :D
he may be suffering anemia, his heart may be predesessing to a heart attack.. so on.
no joke!
