is SARS a vector-borne disease?

it can be spread by contact (saliva or just by merely touching another person). i thought it was airborne, turns out it was not.

according to its history, it said that it could have originated from animals, because the virus was found in an animal called "civets" -- which is cat-like animal that is found in china.
so i guess, it could be vector-borne

I would think so, because it originates in birds. The bird would be the vector...
