Seafood Platter. In Austrlia its far too hot on Christmas day to be eating turkey and other roasted meats. A cold seafood paltter with Prawns, Crayfish, Oysters and mussels along with heaps of cold beer it just the thing!

sauerkraut and beans...it is not that good but it reminds me of when all of my aunts, uncles and cousins would get together for the Holiday. Most of my aunts and uncles have passed away and the cousins are all over the country..so this one homely dish gives me wonderful memories. (oh and don't forget the gas)

Recipe:
! can of kraut
2 cans of white beans
add pepper and simmer for 30 min, or so.

The family recipe was made with hime made kraut and they started with dry beans...who has the time now?

Christmas cookies that my aunt makes..I don't even know what they are called, she makes a variety. We've had them every Christmas since I was a kid...and they just kind of round out the season.
