I've lived on 3 continents, and I have to say it's CHINESE.
I don't think I've ever been in a city that didn't have a Chinese restaurant!

Well, in San Diego I would have to say it's a tie between...
Mexican food - we have such a large Mexican population here
OR
Italian food - I think almost everyone loves pasta, pizza, and Chicken Parmesan!

i think it would be a sports bar and grill type place. i've gone to the local bar a few nights in one week and see the exact same people there eating dinner. since they don't cook, they go every night! i mean most people don't eat mexican or italian every night but a lot of people that don't like to cook, go to local bar and grill places and eat a few times a week.

Number one restaurant is southwestern or tex-mex. Not only in U.S. but in Europe as well. Number one failing retaurant is French.
