i am going on a trip for a week,but have a bag of nectarines that I do not want to throw out. Can I freeze them?

I think it's better tp peel and slice them into wedges and freeze them in individual layers on parchment paper. Then you can transfer them to ziploc bags. I like this method becuase you may not want a whole piece of fruit.

I don't know why the reason is you can't freeze them whole but I think generations of moms and grandma's can't be wrong. Also add some lemon juice or fruit fresh to them after they are sliced...it will keep them from turning brown and being really mushy. I do this to peaches and they come out pretty as they went in and the one time I forgot I had nasty looking brown yuk.

You can slice them up freeze them in a freezer bag or other container. Don't freeze them whole
