The aids virus spreads either by sexual contact or by blood to blood transmission or from a pregnant mother to the unborn child. The virus compltely destroys your immune system so your body is not able to defend you.Eventually it falls prey to infections and this leads to death. The symptoms depends on the infections which a person gets. But general symptoms are weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, low grade fever, recurrent infections in the mouth, respiratory system etc, swelling of glands, diarhoeas etc.Initially when the virus enters the body ,the person is hiv positive .There are usually no symptoms at this stage. After sometime (could be a few years)the person develops full blown picture of aids .This could take from 2 to 5 to even 6-7 years or more.there are some cases in the world which have been positive for the last 15 years but they are still alive! It all dends on the general condition of the patient and the kind of treatment the person receives.

These days on good anti retroviral meds the life expectancy of an HIV+ person is good (lots of people dy with HIV rather than from it). The problem is that in poor countries the drugs are not available and death in a couple of years from full AIDS is not uncommon. How does it kill? Well the virus knocks out the white blood cells that are needed to fight infections and cells in the body that are going wrong. Without this protective mechanism the patient is open to infections and things like pneumonia can be easy to catch and difficult to fight. Also, there are a range of cancers that can develop due to the loss of a strong immune system and obviously these can be fatal too.

AIDS is Aquired immuno Deficiency syndrome.its a loss of the immunity of a person.immunity protects from dieseases and if one is got AIDs he or she looses the capacity to fight diseases and infections.
It takes years for one to get AIDS after ones got HIV +ve.and its not necessarty that HIV+ve person can get AIDS.
It should not matter much, coz healthy people who have no diseases may die due to any accidents or any unexpected natural calamaties.Life is Beautiful. Live it with every moment as long as You have it.Its one life.Just thank God for all that you have
Cherish Every Moment.Make Most of all you have

It destroys the ability to fight normal every day viruses that normally we don't even understand we have. Symptoms are fever, diarrhea, rashes, fatigue, etc, but now there are medications to help a person survive with HIV.

The loss and deactivation
of the immune system
eventually leads to
complications. The first
signs of infection are enlarged
lymph nodes (lay people
name them glands). This is sign
of majority of infections
and other inflammatory
conditions. Other symptoms
are also not specific to HIV
only.
Low energy, weight loss,
fevers and night sweats are
also common for tuberculosis, rheumatic
diseases and many others. Later the loss
of immunity leads to yeast
infections (inside mouth or vagina), skin rashes,
inflammatory conditions,
which do not respond to
regular treatment.
