I wouldn't call it an astral projection but as a child of 13 I was stricken with acute appendicitis and upon a correct diagnosis after 5 days of misdiagnosis and 32 hours of having a burst appendix my parents were told that I had less than an hour to live in my current state and that I had to be operated on immediately. I went under the knife 20 minutes later and during my operation saw several visions of myself from an external point of view. I don't take these as astral projections or out-of-body experiences but as a continuous dream state that found me searching within myself and seeing myself in a state of helplessness having to put my faith in the hands of a doctor that would soon be removing my appendix and then pulling out most of my intestines, stomach and other organs to wash them free of the toxins that had ravaged my system. At the time of the operation I had a T-Cell count of 26 and climbing. Basically I was in the lukemic state and my red blood cells were on the verge of being wiped out by my white blood cells. This was also the last thing I heard before I went under and, interestingly enough, I also took a dream-state journey through one of my arteries while I was under. So, seeing one's self from the outside or projecting yourself through space and finding yourself somewhere else could possible be attributed to a dream state or, as some believe, man's energy, quite possibly, can travel great distances and a perception of projection could possibly be energy that was gained during that travel. During meditation I have also found that energy is gained almost exponentially and I find that my instances of "deja vu" increase the more I meditate. I have a feeling every few days that I have been to a certain place or met someone who I had actually never met before. I have walked into meetings knowing exactly what the decisions were going to be without even knowing the topics of discussion for the meetings. When I first walked into our recently purchased home I had the feeling that I had been there before walking up the steps, looking at the fireplace, stepping on to the back patio, even though I knew for a fact that I had physically never been there before. Some could call these astral projections as my energy had been to that spot in time before that moment of occurence, even though my body had not. Very interesting question and thanks for listening.

I have tried for many years to enter the higher levels of the Astral Planes.
I believe I entered the 5th Plane last week, when I slept for 27 hours and was walking and talking with friends, both living and deceased, during that time and, No! I was not afraid, quiet the reverse.
The 7th Plane I reached some 10 years ago but that is the most amazing and wonderful experience of my life.
I do not know why you have chest pains but hope you have the courage to go on, as only yourself can decide.
All the best on your journey, Chris

I am 45 now and have managed to have one experience like that when I was 17. It was entirely unintentional. I was at a friend's house listening to Alan Parsons. I think the name of the song was appropriately, Some Other Place. It was on the I, Robot album.
I was sort of just floating in space, although it felt like I was in another dimension. I almost came down and landed on a beach but I was afraid for my feet to touch the ground. I was afraid that I couldn't get back. That shook me up enough to jar me back to my friend's living room. My friend was also slapping my face telling me that I seemed to have passed out with my eyes open!
I was accused of smoking pot but I truly had some sort of Astral travel.

Yes
When I was young we used to have a baby sitter who we called grandma one day when we were inside having lunch I looked out the window and saw her in her garden. I remember it threw me and i asked her how she could be there and here and she said that it was because she loved her garden so much. I didn't know anything about astral projection at the time and to this day I wonder did I just see things wrong or was it something more. True story

Hmm this might freak you out.
I had an out of body experience once as a child,
I was listening to my own mind when I muttered to myself (in my mind for no apparent reason confuses me to this day) I wonder what hell is like? Suddenly i have the sensation of flying sideways, there was a flash of orange and then the weirdest color of dark if that makes sense, a feeling of having the air slowly pushed out of my lungs and when I actually felt I couldn't breathe anymore...I moved, I couldn't say I woke up I just was suddenly back in bed? i really don't think it was a dream, true story.
God luck and God Bless

I have had a similar experience. While trying to leave my body, I felt like I was being held in. Some of us are just not allowed to leave our bodies, others have much easier times of it and have outside help. A friend of mine has them voluntarily and involuntarily though only in safe places where she will not be harmed while out.
You may just try to extend your energy outward to explore that way. You stay in body but your senses get expanded. It can be an interesting experience.

First, cool down. concern never facilitates. attempt meditation earlier sleep. 2d, ANY time you have actual indicators, see a doctor. I actual have seen mundane issues get to extreme levels on a similar time as somebody chased the magical. Migraines now and back reason noise to be amplified and black and white static for the time of your imaginitive and prescient. there could be different motives. 0.33, in case you're healthful and arranged to regulate your concern, come across this skills. discover ways to regulate it and benefit some thing from it. it must be empowering or debilitating, and in basic terms you get to confirm. sturdy success.

You shouldn't have asked that on the open internet. There are so many jerks out there that you'll be hard pressed to get a serious answer about this topic.
As for me ...no, my wife has though, and she mostly enjoyed it.
