I think she's interested as well, but we've been taking things really slow, keeping it to casual flirting and hanging out in groups, as we didn't want to risk the friendship between her and my sis. Now I have 2 weeks to decide whether or not to take a tour in Afghanistan, and I want to find out if there is something there worth persuing so that, if there is, I can turn down the tour and pursue it. I've talked to my sis, she's given me her blessing. How can I go about speeding things up and turning this from a flirty friendship into a potential relationship in 2 weeks without coming on desperate or weirding her out. I'm willing to do just about anything to get this girl. Advice please! Oh, btw I'm 22, she's 21.

Okay, right....I see your dilema...I think the only thing you can really do is TELL this girl how you feel. How you're thinking of taking a tour in Afghanistan, but you want to know if you have something here. She'll most likely be flattered that you would put your tour on hold for her.
The only way you will know is to ask her....over the 2 weeks get to know her better and better..ask her out on a date, then she'll get the hint you're into her. Then ASK HER. Looking at how she acts with you, I say you have a very high chance :) And after all, what have you got to loose? Your sis has given you her blessing, and if she does decline, then you have Afghanistan to take your mind off it.

Be upfront with her. Tell her that you are smitten with her and would she consider getting to know each other better.
You NOT going on your tour might put too much pressure on her and if the relationship is brief, then you missed out on your oppertunity at work.
This girl if she is worth it, she will get to know you while you are gone. If she finds out that you stayed home for her, you would weird her out for sure. I run from guys like that. Actually it is your life and you make whatever decision you think is right about work and the girl.
