I dont entirely understand the question. If they are the ONE you truely love then you can't give them up. To do so you must love something/someone else more. Maybe if I had to watch them die of cancer or something and there really was no choice...

I did have to give up the man that I loved. He needed to help his best friend and his family that live two hours away. His friend was severely ill and was hospitilized. While he was in the hospital my boyfriend fixed up his house, worked on the family car, and helped with anything else that needed help also while visiting his friend that lived 2 hours from him. We did not have much contact during that time and he was gone for 2 months. I know that I needed to give him up. And when he left I wasnt sure that he would be back. I was very depressed during that time and was starting to move and then he came back and reassurred me that everything would be ok. Our relationship has been great. I have more respect for him knowing that he will always be there for me whenever I need him.

I had to. We separated because we live in different countries, we are teens and our relationship are expensive(plain tickets, visas, hotels) at the moment for our parents. Now we need to be friends. I still love him. At first it was very hard but it was the only way. I don't try to forget about great moments of our love, about time spent together. I'm not going to stop my feelings by myself. It was hard, our situation was very difficult but now I smile when I remember how great it was. It's better to love and to suffer from it than not to feel love at all.

If I am truly in love with this person than nothing in this world would make me give them up. Even if God calls them to heaven my love wil stay strong. I know when my time comes I will see them again and our lives will go on.

I did. I thought I had to (for a career move of "a lifetime") and have regreted it ever since. If it really is true that there is one person for everyone, I messed up big time...

No. i won't do so. i always believe things will work out if i really believe and try my best to make it happen. it'll be tough but due in time, things wil work out well in the end. Have to always think at the positive side. if it is God's will, then i have to accept it
