There is no such thing as cheap insurance. However, some insurance companies offer lower premiums than do others. Just shop around till you get the best deal.

Premium discounts are offered for driver's who are non-smokers, non-drinkers, no traffice violations, no accidents, and who drive less than 5 miles to commute to work, and drive less than 12,000 miles per year.

Try putting in your details on the confused. com site and it will come up with a list of all the cheap insurances. I did and it saved me a lot of money even though my previous years was cheap.

have a look at Martin Lew's's web site, Money Saving Tips. Just oogle Martin Lewis, money saving. This site will show you how to save money on almost everything - including insurance. It has some really good links and its non profit making so you know he isnt recommending someone who will give him commission. This site is so useful and you can sign up for a regular update! Good luck.

You will simply need to spend time searching on the net for the best quotes! There are some places that do comparision quotes, one such being advertised at the moment is moneymarket.com, I have no idea what they are like though!
Your age will go against you with many companies, so you could try looking for some that specialise in younger drivers, Tesco advertise they take on people such as yourself, give them a try?
