I recently decided what to do with my life. i want to be a housewife but i know that if i should divorce i'm going to have to support myself and possibly my kids. so i decided I'd go to a university(at least try to get accepted) and major in business. I want to work in fashions but I doubt that'll happen. But i always figured while i have the degree i can get a job where I make alot of money that way we can have spending money and we'll live a good life but i recently got a tarot reading that was pretty accurate about everything else. Then they read my future. My greed and power hunger will cause great pain and anguish for those around me and only when i die in tragedy or failure will those around me be happy again. I knew that working in business id have to be a little machiavellian but could this mean affecting my children? If im always working and my children dont have me as a mother? I know I shouldnt listen to cards but even so. If i go the business route will my children suffer?

If you accept to be Machiavellian, then I feel sorry for your family, your friends and victims, and yes, then you're doomed for sure.

I say get a degree. A degre is a degree whatever it is in (unless it's a cop-out such as 'Media Studies' or 'Communications') and something like business studies will see you in good stead for the future.

You say you want to work in fashions; well why not go for a fashion design degree? Depending on what qualifications you already have, you may have to go through a foundation diploma to be accepted on the main degree course, which will add another year to your studies (most degree courses are for three years).

That said, life deals different blows all the time, and something could happen that could change your perspective on life. My friend, for example, was on the second year of an Equine Sports Science degree, and around Christmas, she got together with a man she'd known since September, introduced by a mutual friend, and she is now getting married to him next year, is pregnant, and going for her twelve week scan tomorrow. I don't know if she'll finish her degree now. 'Tis sad, but she's following her heart now and that's what counts. :)

Similar thing happened to me. Three years ago I was hell-bent on becoming a journalist. Now, because I have fallen in love, I don't want to go back to London (as I wanted and was EXPECTED to do when I started uni), but stick around where I am, and do any full-time job, but NOT journalism. The course put me off this career path, anyway. It was just a recruitment centre for liars and losers, and the staff didn't care if we decided not to follow the journalistic path they were touting. It was sad. But don't let that put you off! :)

As for the tarot, don't read too much into it, even if it does sound accurate. A friend of my boyfriend's did a reading for me, and although a lot of it was accurate (e.g. giving up on things too easily, being ready to leave my current, unpleasant job) I took it all in good fun, like I do with all fortune telling. Besides, proper fortune tellers will never put anything in a negative way, like yours did.

Good luck! :)

if you trust what the cards say, then don't get a business degree, because you won't be successful. it's been said in the business world that a successful businessman (or woman) should have an internal locus of control personalty, meaning that he/she thinks fate is in their own control. if you trust the cards, then you have an external locus of control personalty that you don't think you can control your own fate. those who have this personalty won't be successful in business. you can still do the bussiness degree, but you will not reach the top of the business world and earn a lot of money.....

You don't even have kids. What are you thinking? Concentrate on the day, the week, the current year.
