aggressive basically means soil which react adversely with the building material like concrete. chemicals like acid or sulphate can attack the concrete. In this cases concrete using Type 5 cement are recommended. You can also treat the surface of the concrete with chemicals to make it more resistent to corrosive effect. You know what type of corrosive element you dealing with to select the proper treatment. Usual concrete cover for footings can vary from 35 to 50mm.
