I would like to record songs from www.youtube.com, I have found some rare songs on youtube which I dont have as mp3, can i use some software and do this?
is it possible to store the full video on my computer so that I dont need to go to youtube everytime to see that video?

It is very possible, but not so simple.
You need firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/products/download.html?product=firefox-1.5.0.6&os=win&lang=en-US
And then then the firefox extension "video downloader": http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/extensions/videodownloader/videodownloader-1.0-fx.xpi
Then the flv player: http://www.simtel.net/product.download.mirrors.php?id=95201
And if you want to convert the files so that you can use them, you will need "Total Video Converter".

This is what i do and it's very simple:
Go to C: =>Documents And Settings => User (It's your user name, such as John or something)=> Local Setting => Application Data => Mozilla (if you use FireFox)=> FireFox => Profiles=>then you'll see a folder which has a name with numbers =>enter this folder=>Cache
Delete all file here cause it will make u easier to find the file from Youtube. Some find u maby can't delete. Don't care about this.
Watch all the clip you want to dowwn in Youtube.
In folder Cache you'll find a file with large size. It's the clip you've just watch. Copy it to somewhere else then rename it with the tail ".flv" such as "12sdgffge"->"12sdgffge.flv"
Download Riva FLV (Freeware and here's the link http://www.download.com/Riva-FLV-Encoder/3000-2140-10320097.html?part=dl-RivaFLVEn&subj=dl&tag=button) then install it.
Now you can use Riva FLV to enjoy your clip.

you can use mozzila firefox and download an extention called video downloader
some videos are in flv format
so, download flv player from download.com
