Love can be beautiful when it is combined with practicality and truth. Lovers need mutual understanding. Mere infatuation cannot be termed as love. Each lover should be selfless and believe the other partner in total confidence. Love needs affection. Lovers should have a long term goal, not in terms of materialistic world only, but essentially on terms of love. When one in deep love, it becomes torturous too for even innocent acts of the other partner. Impatience is one of the reason. One has to be patient in love making. Then love should always be beatiful and never be torturous.
Any love which fails on the above points, is torturous.

A love contained is a love that's beautiful but a torture to both.Like when lovers are falling apart,love just don't slip away in the speed of light somehow,somewhere there will always be soft corners.It's when someone withdraws, steps back and gives up that special feeling thinking he's not good enough or not worthy when both know they belong together that heart starts to bleed...to ache.Love in all meanings is beautiful regardless of personal experiences it can only be a torture once it's not returned in equal amount, once there's a barrier that one doesn't intend to exert effort on, once the feeling isn't reciprocated.
It's a torture when you both know deep in your hearts that you would have been,could have been,might have been perfect together but then reality just didn't connect and make it happen.
It's beautiful...
it's there,not lost but well-kept in one's memory...
It's a torture...
-----just one of those facets of love.....of life.

hard to explain. there are so many ways that love can be both. for instance, I am currently with a man I have been with for almost a year and a half. we have had a 100% perfect relationship. we are both undergraduate college students. he just finished and I have one more year. we want to stay together as long as possible but we also need to take care of our own budding lives. we have two different career paths and are both heading towards graduate school. I tell myself that I cant let love get in the way of pursuing my other goals now that I am an adult. but then I ask myself "well isn't love important also?". so we're talking about applying to the same schools. what if we dont get into the same ones? what if the one we both get into has a much better program for his interests than mine? is it worth it for me to go there if my program isn't as good relative to other schools? what if the best school for me is across the country or world? Oh we love each other so much...it hurts to think about all this.
beautiful and torturous, indeed.

Love is a part of Life, not the HEART of Life. When u love someone and she/he loves u too, then love is beautiful. hope that u hav heard of the proverb' too much of anything is good 4 nothing'. When ur love exceeds it's limit then it becomes torturous, i mean when either of u begin to hav a craze or if ur lov is a one side luv..... But luv doesnt mean sex. It's an emotion or feel for the need of a partner where both of u understand each others and become life partners. But remember, love doesnt mean this only. It can also mean loving ur family, friend, sibilings.....etc. But i thing these kinds of love is only beautiful, and is not torturous........
LEAVE SOMETHING FOR SOMEONE;
NEVER LEAVE SOMEONE FOR SOMETHING;
B'COZ IN LIFE ;
SOMETHING MAY LEAVE U;
BUT SOMEONE WILL ALWAYS LOVE U...........

Love is simply beautiful. One can never describe what it looks like; no shape, no colour, no smell. But it exists all around us. Just look at ourselves...we are born out of love and we were brought up with love. If one has loved before, they will know and understand the beauty of love.
My utmost and sincere love for my daughter has created many beautiful memories for me.
Love can be tortorous too. The love that you feel brings you great pain especially when you have loved so deep but end up getting hurt instead.
For me a tortorous love would be looking at my sick daughter as my heart reaches out to comfort her but her pain just would not go away and this just shatters my heart into pieces.

i don't think a complicated answer is needed unless you want an embelissed answer. your answer would depend on how great your expectations are of each other. fewer and lower expectations will yield more beautiful and a less torturous relationship.
