Turn the thermostat of your house lower. Your body will have to generate more heat itself which is a great calory burner. You will feel more energetic as well, since sitting still cools you down.
This really works, it saves energy and money as well, but off course you should not try to compensate it by wearing more clothes.

There are so many possibilities here:
Even though you're not losing weight, are you losing inches?
Maybe you need something to help your body better target your body's stored fat when you're working out.
Muscle does really weigh more than fat, which could explain the no pound-shedding.
Sometimes too many carbs, not enough lean meat, green vegetables, or good fats (yes there are some) can interfere with weight loss. Also some fruits and vege's are actually high in carbs.
There is a wonderful new weight management program out there that helps address all these issues for you.
If you'd like to know more, I'd be happy to answer your questions about it.

Try the CSIRO diet
The basis of CSIRO is higher protein and lower but not completely devoid of carbs.
Here's a link to a site which gives you some of the recipes and the actual first 6 weeks of the diet for free:
http://www.themainmeal.com.au/index.cfm?...
Basically a balanced diet, including high protein foods (protein foods make you feel fuller for longer) such as lean red meat, chicken and fish you can excahnge for vegetarian options too). Cut down on processed carbs and exchange them for less processed foods (ie exchange white bread for multigrain) Eat 3 main meals a day but add some healthier snacks...if you crave sugar and fatty snacks like I do, replace them with more natural substitutes. eg change over a candy bar/chocolate for dried or normal piece of fruit, instead of chips have some mixed nuits.
Make sure you are also having high fibre foods (that's where the fruit and nuts are really handy)...pick lower sugar cereals that have higher fibre such as Sultana Bran or Fibre Plus.
Don't foget to drink at least 2 litres of water ...I still allow myself a diet drink too every day
Don't forget to add at least half an hour exercisea day...morning for weightloss, evening for weight maintenence. I go to gym 5-6 mornings a week...that's alot but to lose the weight I have had to make time for me. I have also added two boxing classes
Alternately I do walk for 40 minutes on a Saturday. I did start my exercising at the beginning by just walking.
Also if you find yourself starting to plateau then you need to vary your routine...change your exercising pattern around
Most importantly of all ...be kind to yourself and don't crucify yourself if you slip a bit...it happens, just don't write the whole day/week off if you do...I found allowing myself some chocolate every week has curbed the urge to binge.
Cheers and good luck

really fatloss comes down to a simple equation
colories in - calories burned
Its kind of hard to measure calories-burned but calories-in is easy. plenty of places on the net will help you count'em or tell you how to.
Then there are a number of nasty little side things you gotta know.
A diabetic friendly diet is best for losing weight. You want to keep your blood sugar even keel. That means cutting out all those sugary sodas. Replace them with a liter of water mixed with 25g or so of protein powder. Its kind of watery, but it has under half the calories of a soda. And you need lots of water if you exercise every day. And if you are trying to lose wieght, do that - exercise almost everyday.
Cut the fruit - it spikes the blood sugar. Spiking the blood sugar calls out insulin into the bloodstream to move food into your cells. BUT a little known side effect is it Stops fat from being moved out of your fat cells to be burned by your body - mainly because it's heard you have plenty of sugar in your bloodstream that is great for burning for energy. So you REALLLY need to keep the sugar under control.
Some bread, or pasta isn't going to kill you, just dont go crazy.
Good luck!

I believe that eating six small meals a day are the way to losing weight. Also drink plenty of water and exercise. Walking is excellent as well as doing strengthening exercises. The more vegetables and fruits you eat the better. They are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals and real food. Good luck!

Get a trainer there, cut the fruit and eat more green, yellow and red veggies. You should also really review serving sizes and numbers of servings for your weight class. Also make sure at the gym you wake in a stiff pain the next day.
