Take a look at some of the herbal colourings. I have dark auburn hair and use henna. On the plus side, it's natural, good for your hair, slowly fades and makes your hair really shine. On the down side, it's messy to use (try going for the cream rather than the powder) and for the first week or so, you need to dry your hair with an old towel as the colour will come out a little. Still, better than chemical options.

There have been a few brands of shampoo/conditioner that are out now made specifically for red hair. (I'm a brunette so i don't know if they work). In Australia Sunsilk, John Frieda and Panteen have released colour specific shampoo, the panteen brunette works on my colour great, but it didn't stop with the frizz. But give it a try, it's a cheap experiment and nothing permanent.

HENNA is an all natural product which deepens and intensifies the natural red in a person's hair (or adds a reddish glow if your hair is not already red). It also coats your hair with protein and makes it stronger and shinier.

it wont make much of a difference, but you could try shampoos like Brilliant Brunette by John Frieda...or the line by Pantene ProV for brunettes...it might help...you could also get it highlighted or streaked, it doenst do much damage at all if you dont use bleach(get it professioanlly done though)

i'm a gloomy-skinned black lady with reddish medium brown hair(in summer season it may turn virtually blonde,I swear)(form of like my avatar). i grew to become into particularly self-unsleeping approximately it so I dyed it black for like 2 years because of fact i grew to become into so uninterested in folk calling me a liar asserting that wasn't my genuine hair shade(or my genuine hair, era because of fact it grew to become into mid-returned length, virtually to my butt). ultimately, i desperate to get my previous shade black and dyed it-breaking my hair off(it is in basic terms previous my shoulders now). My factor is, it could ensue(my mom is many times black yet there is a few scots-irish so she has vivid purple hair(she's easy skinned with freckles, inspite of the incontrovertible fact that) and that i doubt everyone seems to be so retarded as to dye their little ones' hair.
