Yes I have and it is not an easy thing to deal with. First of all if you are not in counselling please do so it does help. Try some of those C.D.s of sounds. They have them with the sounds of nature, waterfalls, almost anything you might like. Take one day at a time and if that is too much then go for 5 minutes at a time. I promise it will get better. The best of luck to you.

PTSD is complicated. Years of working through it has not yet completely solved my sleep problems yet. The sleeping pills I have tried made my nightmares worse. Good luck.

yes, i have, it takes some time, i would tell your doctor that the sleeping pills are not working, have you tried warm milk? that might help or maybe some tea.nothing that will keep you awake though. maybe take a nice warm bath or shower, even aroma thearpies might help.
but don't take more sleeping pills please. what might work is asking a doctor about maybe an anti stress , like paxil .take care

I did. It sucked. Drinking and illegal drugs helped a little. 12-step recovery and YEARS of therapy and meditation cured me. Every once in a while I appear happy and well adjusted.

Yes I have. Get psychotherapy and more effective night-time meds to begin with. It takes time to heal.

Lithium, Zoloft and Ambien. But hell, I'm still up at 4AM.
