At 14, you are far from being done growing. In fact, you should be growing now more than ever. The growing pains are a normal, albeit annoying fact of life. Your best bet is to just try to ignore it. And don't over do it on the pain pills.

If you play a lot of sports it could be splints - not too serious so don't stress. I used to play a lot of hockey in my high school years and my shin bones and muscles used to ache so much that i often couldn't get to sleep. As soon as I stopped pushing myself too hard and cut back on the sports I haven't felt the pain since.

You are still only 14. I had the same problem while I was growing up and it didn't stop till I was 17 or 18. Nothing was wrong with me so I took my asprins and went to bed.

Go to the doctor since it comes back alot. It could have to do with blood flow problems or low iron or a whole bunch of other things. Just go to the doctor.
