5 million of our older Americans have not signed up yet for their Medicare, Part D, drug plan--they are old and confused.
We are not going to grant them an extension.
However, 12 million illegal aliens are in our country and we are going to allow them to stay, protest, procreate, receive support monies, attend schools, avoid paying income taxes, have our teachers take 300 hours of ESOL (English as a second language) training at our expense, etc.
WE MUST REALLY DISLIKE OUR OLD PEOPLE! OR, WE MUST REALLY LOVE TACOS!

Lasher, I really could not care less what our neighbors to the south think. Our seniors should come before any illegal immigrants! Seniors are not too likely to have the strength or energy to protest and stand up for themselves, so they need the younger generation to stand up for them. They already worked hard to help make this country what it is - illegal immigrants did NOT do the work to make this country what it is. Round up all the illegals and ship 'em out and let us look after our own citizens! The other countries should be looking after their own - we are not responsible for them!

And your solution for this is to spend billions upon billions of dollars rounding up all these illegal aliens just so they can run back across the border. Never mind the fact it would waste even more money then the "illegals" can take from the system but such a large scale operation could be seen almost like an act of war against a particular demographic of the US population. How do you think that would fair with our neighbors to the south? How would it look on the international stage when we are supposed to the land of the free? We need to account for who is in the US now and move towards strengthening out borders, period.

Can you blaim them for wanting to come to America? Think of all the things we take for granted and all they want is a life like we have. It is very sad that it has come down to them sneeking into our borders however, some people will do anything for their families. If American government would really open their eyes and realize that our elderly people need real help, then maybe something will be done. But until we have massive amount of people protesting and standing up for their rights then this topic will only continue to be discussed on YAHOO!ANSWERS.. and not where it should be.

Ponder this. If we were to actually support our senior citizens, then we may acctually learn a thing or two about them. As it stands, the "boomers" are getting to that elderly age and a lot of them are like my mother, liberal crybabies. They would rather see an illegal get support from our government, rather than see them without homes. My grandmother, one of the "greatest generation", (WWII adults), feels that illegals need to have thier butts shipped back to whatever godforsaken country they came from.
I love a good taco as much as the next guy. But I would rather see our elderly taken care of. 12 Million illegals, vs. 5 million elderly? I vote to throw the illegals out. Put them all back on rafts and send them to Arabia!!!!!

I love tacos... and yeah, old people are probably confused due to the ignorance this country has. It's stupid that illegal immigrants suck the money out of us... but hey, they found out how to do it... they're taking advantage of the opportunity, instead of just being an old ignorant human being.
