Even if a woman wasn't raped she should have the right to decide whether or not to have a child.

I wouldn't do it, but I know how fragile the mind can be. I don't approve of stupidity being erased with an abortion, but some women in the face of rape would not also be able to handle a pregnancy and having the baby. The hormones from pregnancy can make a situation a lot worse. I think a lot of counseling needs to be done before they go through with the abortion, because that's a majorly emotional situation as well. But the stress of pregnancy after a rape could endanger the mother, the pregnancy, and the baby itself. I couldn't condone a person being restricted from abortion while in an unstable mental state. The more unstable the mental state, the more likely the person is to do something that will harm themselves and/or the baby.

It is absolutely upto the individual. If she wants an Abortion due to rape incident she should be allowed. i know it is not allowed in some states. maybe she should try it at a different state. I agree its like getting raped twice. if she is denyed abortion and the child is born it will leave a lasting effect for life. best of luck.

No it is not wrong----in situations like this, i belive whatever the woman choses is ok.
I was in this situation as a 16 year old, I chose to keep the kid after i had set up and apiontment to get an abortion----i cancelled it----I later had a miscarrage----doctors says it is because of stress on my body----they don't know if i can ever have kids again.
I think its the womans choice in this matter---they shouldn't be forced one way or another----it isn;t right for what she has been through---I KNOW

Yes, it is still wrong. The child is innocent and doesn't deserve to be punished by death for the crime of her father. We wouldn't kill a 3-year-old whose daddy was a rapist, would we? Why, then, is the child in the womb fair game? Actually, many women describe abortion as "medical rape." It only increases the trauma and grief of a woman who has been raped. See:

A woman who immediately reports a rape will receive a day after pill. This will prevent pregnancy, immediately.
A woman who does not report a rape - not only is it much harder to prove the rape happened, but leaves her at risk for pregnancy.
Even the legislators that are lobbying pro-life, still adamantly state that birth defects and rape will be the exception to the rule.

She should definitely abort the child if she is raped, as she is probably psychologically scarred by the event. Imagine how the child would feel if he/she ever grew up and found out abt how he got concieved. There would be alot of psychological damage!

That would be a personal decision whether or not the woman is raped. She has to be able to cope with that decision in any case. Only she knows what feels right to her and what her moral values are as well as what is best for her and her life.

I am very much against abortion.....except in the situation that a woman is raped. I can't imagine having to carry and give birth to the child of a man who violated me.

no its not at all wrong to abott wen a girl is been raped. cos that act only dosent make that girl to become pregnant. if with her consent she has got pregnancy then she should think of abortion as a crime.but this is justifiable
