i am schizophrenic 2. the only danger i pose is 2 myself when i get really depressed. i hear a radio playing all the time. i also hear someone call my name sometimes.i hear some strange things sometimes 2. this is not a sign of being a danger 2 anyone. it is a normal part of having this problem. i wonder what meds she is taking? i take 2 and they help a lot____IF i take them right.by the way, i am 61yrs. old. schizophrenia is a birth defeat!! go 2 webmd and look under mental illness and u will find a lot of helpful info.

Wow that's tough. Unfortunately, the voices go along with schizophrenia and they may never go away. With therapy and medication however she may eventually be able to come to understand that even though the voices seem very real to her that she actually has an illness. Many schizophrenics can lead a functional life.

Is she on meds? If not, she probably should be, and if she is, she needs to see her psychiatrist, he/she might have to change the dosage. Hearing "funny things" is in the same catagory as hearing voices. Get her to the doctor. It doesn't matter if she is dangerous, it's got to be hell for her to be hearing things all of the time.
