How can you tell if a girl likes you?

She invited me over to check out her new apt. We went out to dinner, came back and watched a movie. I was nervous to make moves, but I did put my around behind her, kind of on the couch. And at the end of the night she kissed me on the cheek....She doesnt say much else though, which kind of makes it hard to determine. What do you think??

Well that's kind of hard to determine. If she's latin, it might be even harder, because us latins kiss people on the cheek all the time for salutations and goodbyes. She could be just as shy as you, and that's not a good thing either because I know someone who's kind of been in that situation for a year and they're just stagnant at "friends-only" status. I would suggest you keep on asking her out. Did you pay for the check? Did she make a concentrated effort to stop you? (because if she adamently tried to not let you, that might be a sign that she doesn't want you to feel that anything is going to come of it-- don't get that confused with a courtesy- "oh let me pay..[no]. are you sure?") Next time you guys watch a movie, try holding her hand or something. I've had my fair share of being upfront, but freaking people out. So now I'm just flat out shy in that department and maybe she's in the same situation. Good luck! :)

Interestingly enough this works... LISTEN...

At the moment that you were going to put your arm around the girl while you were watching to movie you say this.

You look at her and say, "Can I say something to you" and she will say yes. Turn down the TV a little and look at her and reach out and touch one of her fingers. Not the whole hand just a finger. No big deal just kind of like you don't know that you are doing it and at that same exact moment say.

"I feel kind of awkward because I really like you and I can't even pay attention to the movie because I really want to be talking with you and actually since I am being honest I really would like to kiss you".

If she likes you she will say "YES" and if she is not interested she will tell you that she is not interested.

A kiss is very simple and nice, so if she doesn't want to kiss you at that time then she is not into you... but if she is she will like that you just came out and said that you were so distracted by your interest in her that you would rather tell her than continue to pretend to watch the movie.

in your case, i would say she definitely likes you. you can tell when she pays you alot of attention. smiles at you alot. will laugh at things you say. gently touch you, like on the arm. when she moved in to kiss you on the cheek, she was probably hoping you would make your move and kiss her n the lips. goodluck!
