A female dog may give birth to 1 to 10 puppies at a time. Small dogs usually have fewer puppies at one time.

Some large breeds have over 10 pups in a litter. Smaller breed dogs have less babies. Say with a Chihuahuam a normal litter is 1-4 pups, altho I have had a litter of seven. Well, actually had 8 but only 6 lived.

There are records of like 15. Dogs bred multiple times often have two more in each litter. So 3 one time 5 the next and so on.

Depends on the breed. Labradors are puppy machines. Their record is 17, I think, with 8 being adverage.
But pugs and chihuahuas have between 1-4

A friend of mine had a dog when we were just wee bitty tykes and that dog gave birth to 7 Greyhounds, 3 German Shepherds, 1 kitten, a little bitty pig, about 8,000 spiders, and a cute Mexican boy named Juan.

That totally depends on the breed. St. Bernard's have one or two, Newfoundlands usually only have one. I had a pit bull that had 8, and OMG, a blood hound that had 13.

1-12 are usual, depending on breed.
labrador size dogs avarage at 5-7 pups, smaller dogs usually have fewer.
