please let me know i both this car from a women who told me alot of difrent things after i both the car i found out she lied me its not her frends car and its not a estate sale she both the car from a man last few months ago and she didnt want it no more so insted of transfering the titel on her name she left it with the first onwers name ,,,, and sold me the car not telling me that ... so i paid her $8800 for this car $6100 cash and $2700 check ... after i found out all the lies about this car it also broke on me so i wanted to return it to her couse i didnt want the headeac of all thes lies..she said no she didnt want it back plus i put and extra $3000. to fix some stuff on it so i found out she didnt transefer the titel on her name and pay the tax in va,, so i stop the check. now i dont no what to do i dont wanna be in trobel and i fell as if im getting riped off some how is it workng what i did or her i want to pay her back some of the $2700 but i wanna deducut half of the $3000 ..

You can't sell a car that you don't have legal title to. And you never should have bought it either!

How could you not know that the title wasn't in her name? Didn't you look at it before you gave her the money??

Don't give her another dime until she gives you legal title to the vehicle!

You're probably going to need an attorney to sort this mess out. There's a good chance that she doesn't have the legal right to sell the car; in other words, it's stolen. If this is the case, the car will be returned to the legal owner and you'll be out whatever money you gave this woman. Your only recourse is to sue her.
