I am a good God fearing girl. I have never stolen or hurt anyone. However, I clearly understand I have sinned. I am crying hysterically as I write this. I don't know what to do. I am afraid to tell my parents and I am embarassed to confess my sins at church. I feel this is the only place I can turn to. I... dreamt of Hayden Christensen again. He is reoccuring in my dreams ever since I saw Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. I... I can't help it! Ever since I laid eyes on him, it was the end of my innocence. I can't stop thinking sinful thoughts about him. I dreamed about holding his hands! Oh... Help me... please. I have to rid myself of these dirty, despicable thoughts! I dreamed he touched my hair. And.. and I liked it. Please don't judge me for I am human. I'm so scared... I am a God fearing girl and I believe everything that I have been taught. I know that these thoughts about a man is forbidden. I feel so weak. I can't resist these urges. These thoughts. These dreams. Help me...

I've always thought of myself as a pure, untainted girl. You people don't understand. I thought of Hayden Christensen's hand grasping mine!!! I know that this is unacceptable in the Bible. My thoughts are so dirty. My parents told me never to think of boys in that way. I have tried... but I cannot stop now.

Even though we have different beliefs I will help you with yours.

You have already done the first part by writing this question. However you still haven't truely accepted it. See what you have done is make yourself stronger in telling people, but you still haven't truelly accepted the reprocussions. It really is not as bad as you think.

What you need to do next is go and have a talk with your parents. I know it is hard to do, but you probably will not get over the shame for a long time if you don't. Your parents are not going to be mad at you or anything like that. They will confort you.

See the truth is what you are experiencing right now is a normal part of growing up.

Listen to me my friend, you are no eternally damned! Be it lust, stealing, violence, greed, whatever! The only thing that will get you damned is through Blasphemy - and trust me, the only way to do that is to know the real name of God and utter it (thoughts don't even count in this case, it's all through words).

Your innocence might be gone, but your chances of becoming wise off of sin aren't! Learn from your experience. Stolen an object? Then give charity to the poor! Hurt someone violently? Then comfort someone in the hospital! Wanted something in huge and unneeded amounts? Then spend your paycheck to give to the poor. Been lustful? Then teach others to be strong!

Don't you get it? This is your perfect time to become strong! And trust me, I'll be by your side if you need help. You'll be forgiven if you truly want it. The only hypocrisy is if you don't truly repent. But if you repent and ask for forgiveness, and do it again, then remain strong. Only by giving in will you be giving up.

You mentioned you were human. As weak as that makes you, it also makes you just as strong. As a human you have been gifted with a sense of morality. THE VERY FACT you don't feel comfortable with these thoughts already PROVES that you are STRONG.

So don't give up! Email me at yafoojo@yahoo.com if you want to discuss. Remain strong!

You need to find yourself a good counselor to talk with, preferably from your school or a responsible social service agency. Hopefully, they can put your mind at rest regarding the natural development of girls at your age and allieviate your fears.

Remember that it is our actions, not our thoughts that count. As the old saying goes, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." Therefore if it was our thoughts and not actions that counted, thousands of problems would have been avoided because people "meant to do something about it." Well, if good things don't happen without action, then neither do bad things.

As for sexual attraction, that is a natural part of being human. It is as old as God's instructions to Adam and Eve to go forth and procreate. Again, it is what we do in response to these feelings that counts. I assume that you haven't been stalking Hayden Christensen, or moved to his neighborhood to be close to him, or any other extreme things. If you've hung a poster in your room, along with thousands of other fans and girls as infatuated with him as yourself, you are well within normal behavior.

I think you and your parents need to take a Sunday off. This is not normal behavior over a dream about holding some celebrities hand or his hair.
Thank GOD, you have normal dreams about celebrity's and you are biologically function as a normal person. Mental you sound whacked out of your mind and i blame your crazy thumping parents.

If your in high school go to your school guidance counselor, unless your in Catholic School, then go to Plan Parenthood where you can learn about your body, yourself and what is normal.

Good Luck.

Your thought arent dirty and I dont see how you could have sinned since you have not acted upon these feeling in the flesh.
It is a sin to lust but I think God can help us move forward and give us strength to over come these feelings and praying to God for pure dreams and that future husband and his dreams also can help draw you closer to God and Jesus.I hope this helps

Poor child, turn away from your evil thoughts. That is what comes of watching those films. If your don't get your self to a prayer meeting and let them Holy Ghost you out of these thoughts, you re not pleasing HIM! Next time it will be a little kiss, next thing you'll be a dreaming of fornication and God will punish you for those lustful thoughts! Pray for forgiveness before it is too late and you are left to live a life of lust and perversion for biting the fruit of temptation!

I am assuming that this is actually just a joke, because I dont know that I could believe that anyone could be more ridiculous!
First of all , God never ever ever said that holding anyones hand would get you a ticket to damnation! you need to read your bible again, maybe twice more.. you are confused and living under a rock... You should see a councelor that can explain to you healthy and REALISTIC boundies that you can give yourself that still enable you to live with in your value system.

What I can tell you is that I've had the same problem and what I do is read the Bible and another thing is if you really love to read like me, I've really gotten into the House of Winslow series, they are books by Gilbert Morris. If you have the time read them and then you will probably think about the problems in the book or if he's going to get arrested, or something like that. Well good luck!!!!!!:))

Girl I can't belive u...Our Lord Jesus Christ preaches forgiveness and love abobe all things .Don't fear God, fear is a negative emotion.God must be loved as He loves us, his sons and dauthers.Sin is normal for anyone and it's not even a seriuse one!!! Some people have killed and they have no remorce, and u act like this over a dream? Rid yourself of negative emotion and embrace God. And also keep in mind that Jesus told us to keep his comands in a spirtual way not in an earthly way . Just don't stress over a normal thing like that.

First of all sin is a way of life as the bible states all people sin and are born into sin. 2) To get forgiveness you must give it (even to yourself) 3) to be this distraught over your mental weakness is wrong... It is self perpetuating and destructive, and will never cure itself by fretting over this guilty feelings. Take yourself to Church and get a pastors/priests input on your feelings because they are the ones that are causing the problem. the more you obsess the more you WILL obsess.
