Ok ok - here are the definitions:
A mobile phone or cellular (cell) phone is an electronic telecommunications device.

A mobile phone is the type of cellular phone that is installed in a motor vehicle. There are three main types of cellular phones mobile, transportable, and portable. A mobile unit is attached to the vehicle, draws its power from the vehicles battery and has an external antenna.

A satellite phone or satphone is a mobile phone that communicates directly with orbiting satellites. Depending on the architecture of a particular system, coverage may include the entire planet, or only specific regions.

Cell phone and mobile phone are closely related with small differences, mainly in the network used by them.

A satelite phone in principle is the same as a cell phone, in that you can use it almost anywhere. The common misconception is that your cell and mobile phone directly links to a satelite.

This is wrong. A satelite phone links with a satelite. A cell phone links with a base station. Now that base station *may* link up with a satelite, but mostly likely links with the normal landline telephone systems.

Cellphones are phones that communicate to a the nearest service providers BSC (Tower) via waves that have hexagonal cell like scructure.

Mobile phones I belives is just a fancy name for cellphones.

Satellite phones are phones that work with the help of satellites and not BSCs or MSCs. Calls can be received anywhere in the world and can be dialled from anywhere in the world. The call is routed through the satellite and now service providers network.
