In the old days on the last day of school, the girls were allowed to wear pants instead of dresses. I just remember sitting at my desk the first thing in the morning and finding it so comfortable wearing pants. How I envied the boys! It was so great that one day a year girls did not have to wear stupid dresses.
What freedom we felt! It was the only time I felt equal to the boys back then. That was the best memory I had of school days back in the 1940's.

The first day my dad let me flip the meat on the grill. I was 9 and my brother and I snuck a beer out of the icechest and thought we were the sh!t.

When I am above three years old,one of our village celebration SHREE NARAYANA JAYANTHI.That time I was in my mother hand, I asked "mother, who is this eesho (means asking god's name).Mother told this is Narayana Guru.I replied Oh..nanana gunu. When I remember this situation now also I laughed myself.

every yr..during chritmas..my family use to give me whtever i asked for...and they never told me it was them...i was told that it is santaclaus...
so one yr..i had asked for a bicycle...so on 25th..i went outside the lawn...and yo!...there was a bicycle right in front of me.....i really cudnt believe that...i was so happy that day...i really believed that it was santa...but unfortunately...after few months....my parents told me that all these yrs it was actually them..giving me the gifts and not santa...i was completely heart broken.. :( i am a non christian...but i still love santa.... *muuaaahh*

sleeping in the floor with my cousins, we would make pallets in the floor and watch TV till we fell asleep then my aunt would come turn the TV off and kiss us all good night.

My best childhood memory is of sitting on my daddy's lap while he sang songs to me.......My mom's voice was so TERRIBLE that I would cry whenever she sang to me................LOL
