guinea pigs rock they dont smell so long you keep the cage clean, they dont bite i put my fingers right on their mouths and they've never bit me, they're xtra cute, cheap like 10-20$ they're fun to learn about different noises they make ,etc. they make great pals and lap pets but have a towel under them for accidents, they'll love your veggie/fruit leftovers, watermelon rinds etc. along with their pellets theres all sorts of treats n stuff you can get em, um,i love em. ferrets stink, regaurdless of their cleanliness, rats arent that cute, but supposed to make great pets too, birds are messy, their mess dont stay in the cage, sugar gliders rock too but are expensive and nockternal so they are barely seen, and they only come out when the room is empty, dark, and quiet unless you spend a lot of time taming them.bunnys are cute too but are known to bite. reptiles just arent cuddley

Guinea pigs are nice pets. I tried to take mine on a walk with a little leash, but it didn't like it at all. That was about the only thing it didn't like...we had two of them, Casper and Gertrude. I still remember them 38 years later!! Cockateils are also nice, a smart bird and not too expensive. Maybe a parrot, the small green ones aren't too expensive, smarter than cockateils, and are usually nice, although some are mean and bite.

Guenny pig. Ferrets are wierd and mean, rats are ugly and scare away friends, so do bearded dragons, I dont know what the hell a cocktail is, or a sugar glider, and bunnys grow up to hate you if you get it from a breeder.

Sugar gliders are the BOMB, but I'm not sure it would be in the lesser budget. The vet bills can be somewhat outrageous because they tend to get sick and are not all that easy to cure. They ARE the bomb, tho. And even though I said this about the health, it doesn't mean that it happens to EVERY sugar glider.

If you want playful, get a rat.
They make excellent pets.
They are smart and enjoy interacting with people. They are sort of the dogs of the rodent world.

Guinea pigs are great. You don't have to take them to the vet unless they get really sick and they will eat fruits and veggies along with their pellets.
