If you're looking for the metal ones, they can usually be found at thrift stores, especially the larger chain-type ones (the one here is called Savers). They may also be purchasable at a store that deals in bed frames and headboards. If you buy them from a thrift store, remember, they're side rails, and for the most part, all bed frames come with the same length of rail, twin, king, or any in between. Measure your mattress before you go so you know you've got the right one, but chances are, whatever you find will fit.

You can buy pieces of wood the size you need, clean 'em up and sand 'em smooth then stain them to match what you have or if you don't think it will match exactly contrast the existing stain color with a much lighter or much darker stain.
Or if you really want the ones that go to the bed find out who made it or where it came from and see if you can contact them for replacement pieces.

where you buy mattresses you can get a metal frame then you can have holes drilled in the metal and attatch the wood ends to it for looks
