If they came to my table and offended me by saying "Do you know an animal had to die so you could eat that steak" my response. would be "Yeah, he starved to death because you ate all his food" .
Would this response be offensive?

Um keep in mind who's being offensive. And for the record, PETA gives animal activist and Vegetarians a bad name. Any one who protest there beliefs in such a way is a radical, and that makes any point, or motive they are trying to preach void. If you are really concerned about the well being of the animals that are slaughtered daily, i suggest you find the money to buy, feed, and house these animals to your liking. And there solution is that we take it appon our self's to do our part in the conservation of these animals, unfortunately no one is rich enough to keep these animals around the way we do, that and alot of Peta people dont believe in spaying and neutering either, Dont get me wrong I love animals and i dont believe in harming them, but i do understand the life cycle.

Like the first answerer, no that response would NOT be offensive. PETA thinks they are just the most noble and amazing people ever. I'll admit animal CRUELTY is not good, but sometimes they are too extreme to call out people for simply being carnivores (which is in our very nature and instincts...)

Cows are tasty, chickens are yum,
People like PETA, are just plain dumb!

No, this really poos me off, you should be able to eat whatever you want without some do gooder sticking their nose in it, (so to speak). If we go back to cave man era all they ate was meat that's why we have cannine teeth, and I'm almost positve they didnt serve it with a flippen tossed salad!!!!!...... lol

Does you mommy know you are playing on the computer so late?

Why do you give a **** what PETA thinks? I doubt you will ever be confronted by them. Now you can go to bed.

No, not at all. I think that disrupting your right to enjoy a meal is counter productive to their cause. I think that a lot of their effort is wasted on people's eating habits instead of things that matter, like how animals are raised, cosmetic testing/medical testing, and sick freaks who ask questions about cooking cats (yes, someone DID ask that earlier). I support their ideas and beliefs, but think that they should redirect their focus away from people who eat meat..... its only been what, 10000 years +/- ? It can't be that bad!!

Maybe a little. But they offended you first by approaching your table, so they deserved whatever they had coming.

My advice to PETA; you can eat or not eat whatever you do or do not want to eat, but LEAVE ME ALONE.

Personally I think actions speak louder than words. Smack the moron in the chops with something hard. A fresh coconut comes to mind.

Yeah, it would be offensive because it's rude. They have no right to approach you in a restaurant, but don't lower yourself to insult level, just tell them firmly to leave you alone. If they don't, call the cops 'cause they're harrassing you.

nope. eye for an eye. they were rude to you at first coming up like that and being judgemental and all.

i probably say something like, "how about the veggies you preferred? They are living organisms too. Didn't you killed them too?"
