its written in the bible that witchcraft is "evil"
so, blindly following their religion and not researching the facts, Christians go by what their book says instead of what is actually true.
And the reason why people assume christians look down on other religions is because thats how alot christians are. They are taught that only their religion is right, and everyone else is wrong and their souls need saved or something like that.
Another reason why Christians think Pagans worship Satan is because they believe in a Horned God, this is NOT a form of any kind of Satan of any kind. the Horned God is also known as the the The hunt God.
Blessed Be!

I was a Pagan before I became a Christian. I have a pretty good understanding of Paganism.
I know that Pagans do not worship the devil, in the sence that most Christians think.
But Christianity teaches that all religions that are not Christian, are seperated from the true God Jesus Christ. I know that when I was a Pagan, I never felt more alive than I do now.
But as a Christian you should have a pretty good understanding of salvation then. Its great that your supportive, but you can also show her that Christianity is a religion of love and peace.

When the public faces of christianity are imbeciles like Jerry Falwell (the man said that feminism was a contributing factor to god allowing 9-11) Pat Robertson (too much idiocy from this man to even mention...just google it) and Jimmy Swaggert (how many times did he get caught with his secretary?), the reason everyone thinks christians look down on them is simple...
Christians aren't portrayed publicly as the most rational or intelligent people. The group (not the individuals) are trying to push religion into classrooms, claim that even though its capital "g" god in the pledge, its still sensitive to all, and use their influence to polarize people to cover up the dirty tricks they try to pull in gov't. I'm sure that there are good christian individuals, but sometimes the face that is shown for the group causes prejudice.
And no, pagans don't worship the devil...but there are many fundy's out there that will say so, simply because its not god or JC. Hell, the christian represntation of satan comes from depictions of greek mythological satyr's and the wiccan horned god.

There are many people that do not believe this at all. I am very tolerant of whatever belief another has; so long as what they believe in will better themselves and others around them. That's the best religion I can think of.
There have been many responses in Yahoo answers from Christians however, that seem very intolerable to every other religion there is. Maybe this is where your question stems from...? I have found alot of prejudice in the answers given. But, not just from Christians.

It's funny isn't it. People love jumping to outrageous conclusions about different beliefs that they have limited knowledge about. True believers of any belief system understand that people are different and need to be allowed to find their own way.
I am a christian too, but I'm not about to go beating people over the head with bibles in the hope to scare or pressure them into the Kingdom. If someone wants the truth, they'll find it. Sure I answer questions, but who am I to judge others and make them feel inadequate??
God Bless:)

Paganism is essentially worship of anything other than God Himself, usually reflective in nature worship. The Bible clearly states that these type of teachings are doctrine's of demons and are meant to deceive those away from the truth.
You can love your cousin and still not justify her faith. If you tell her that paganism is alright for her, your loving her to hell, plain and simple.

about 99% of the bible followers have always looked down on me/tried to convert me/abuse me with their bible beliefs. I do not assume, I know that they do, or at least 99% of them with the exception of my Nee-chan. I also know for a fact that Pagan's do not worship anything that has to do with satan or anything like it. Why? I know Pagan people and have done research.

I don't think ALL Christians do that, but a lot of Christians that I know personally, are hypocrites. A few of my friends make assumptions about other religions without really knowing anything about them. I think it all comes down to ignorance and lack of education. At least that is what it's like with some of my friends.

because the people who believe that pagans worship Satan are louder than the ones that don't.
