I am not aware of any verses in the Bible that state specifically that masturbation is wrong.
The closest is where Jesus says that to look upon a woman (or man) with lust is like committing adultery (or fornication). Masturbation typically involves fantasizing about some person with lust.
If possible, avoid masturbation. If not possible, masturbation is a safer alternative than sex outside marriage (in terms of potential harm to self and others).
The preferable solution is to get married to someone you can be committed to for life (and who will be committed to you for life). Sex within marriage is blessed by God (and was created by the Christian God for the purposes of procreation, recreation and bonding between husband and wife).
Cordially,
John

It's a sin because we would be killing a human being. The Bible does not make reference of condoning human sacrifice. The reference the Bible makes of human sacrifice is by the Pagan people who served a pagan statue Baal and they sacrificed their own children. That is why God sent for their destruction to stop the killing of the innocent lives. Please read the Bible, God cares deeply about mankind. He created us and "does not want anyone to be destroyed."

Masterbation is not wrong, it's a natural experience. I had looked it up before in a teen study bible my mom had gotten me one christmas long ago and I was bored so I took it out of my closet to just look up random things that made me want to be farther from the bible faith than I was before. But what I had read of it, it did not say that it was wrong, and even said that it was natural and experimenting was an alright thing to do.

Well, I've struggled with this question for most of my life. Even e baby knows it feels good as babies touch themselves when their diaper comes off..We ignore that and I think it is the way you were brought up...I'm 65 years young and rather than get continually abused by a partner, I remain alone and I consider that as taking care of myself..to feel complete and healthy.. Hopes this helps someone out there...I'd really rather have a loving partner....smile GOD loves you..

Genesis
38:8 And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.
38:9 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.
38:10 And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.
In these passages God kills Onan for spilling his seed and not impregnating his brother's wife.
These passages are the only ones I know of in the bible that mention masturbation - it is the basis of many Christian doctrines, including the condemnation of both masturbation and birth control.
Go ahead spank the monkey!

The Bible has one reference to throwing ones seed in the dirt. Science however has proven that men have a limited number of orgasms available to them, if you met a extremely pretty rich girl who wanted to have sex with you and you had no orgasms left, how would you feel? Don't say you always have rogain or whatever that pharmacutical solution is because science has also proven that aid causes blindness, so its really your choice. Pick wisely.

Well, the only scripture I know of pertains to a man's spilling of the "seed" and wasting it on the ground....
Also. I think of the scripture that says that if a man looks on a woman (other than his wife) with lust in his heart, he is committing the sin of adultery, even though he is not actually doing it. So, if you are looking at pornography and so forth, etc...that is sinful. If you are imagining or fantasizing about someone you aren't married to, that is sinful, in my opinion. I don't know about it if you are thinking of your spouse and have your spouse's okay to do it. Maybe it is better then.....???

The Bible lists lusts of the flesh - pride, gluttony, sexual lust, sloth and laziness as sinful. That is why God created marriage so that all your desires can fulfilled by your husband or wife. From experience, your sexual life is truly blessed in marriage.
