First base, second base, third base, and home base have nothing to do with a relationship. A relationship is about mutual love and respect.
The bases are about how much a woman has allowed a man to take advantage of her body. Home base means she's had sex with him, and third base feels like warm apple pie. (See American Pie)
Anyone who actually bothers to find out what the different bases are either has too much time on their hands, or doesn't understand what a relationship is supposed to be about. Anyone who keeps track of how far they've gotten isn't respecting the relationship.
There are a lot of "Players," but that doesn't mean Love is a game. Home base comes with risks, and unless you've gotten married, it's not particularly worth celebrating, because chances are others have played on that field, and will play there again.
