I don't believe in god. That is final. Please do not try to convert me but simply answer my question if you want to with a good explanation. I try my best to always do the right thing and treat every1 with respect, I keep an open mind, and I don't try to force other's to think like me in a religous way. If I follow the majority of god's teachings that deal with treating other's well and stuff tht seems more logical than him actually being there isn't that what's really important? Why does it matter if I believe in him or not? Plz do not qoute the bible but try to draw an answer from your own mind.

Christians say that you will go to hell if you don't believe in god. What if they're wrong, what if god is only going to put the people in to heaven that are brave enough not to believe in him and put all others in hell? There's no way to know and you can't change your beliefs so it doesn't matter. Don't let people scare you with Pascal's wager, it's a flawed argument. If you believe in god then you believe in god, if you don't then you don't.

The answer to your question is no, you won't go to hell for not believing in god. If an all good god exists, he won't punish you for not believing in him. You're right, actions are more important than beliefs. If god is going to judge you at all, he will judge based on what you did during your life, not on what you believed or didn't believe in.

I'm going to answer this questions in two ways my words and then other peoples word
first me- if and it is a big if, there is a god i do not believe you will go to hell for not believing in hI'm. people say god is all loving and has compassion of all living things. so if you are being a good person then why would he hate you, or send you to hell. the bible doesn't say god is a child who need attention all the time or he gets angry. just being a good person is more than enough for any god. and lastly im a zen Buddhist and i don't believe in god and you are the same boat as many other people. it sometimes helps to know that your not the only one.
other people-
Just try to be a good person that's all that really matters

when you die and meet your maker, hes not going to ask you why weren't you the best Christian you could be. instead, he'll wonder why you weren't yourself.

Actions speak louder than words, may be. But what you believe in determines how you walk your life journey. All too many people believe that actions will get you to Heaven. But sadly for them, they couldn't be any further from the truth. The most important thing in life is following the truth. Everyone's idea of what is the truth varies, but the truth is that there can only be 1 truth and everything else is a lie. If you do not believe in God it is one thing, but if you do not believe in Jesus Christ, God's Son then you are literally stuffed. You see "Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life" and if you want to experience any of these then you must choose to believe in God's Son. This of course does mean that you have to believe in your Creator, God the Father. You see the hardest thing for any person to do is to be humble enough to drop their pride, and accept the freedom that comes only through the grace of God through His Son who in actual fact is God. If you don't want to read the Bible then you have cursed yourself. My advice would be to not let other people tell you what to believe, and go study the truth yourself praying the whole time that God would show you the truth. I believe you've obviously been hurt in the past and you've put up a barrier to block out what is in actual fact, the truth.

First of all believe in the one that created us all. Second you may have a good heart. But don't you feel like something is missing in your life? That something is God. We often don't look to him until there is trouble. Think of how much he has brought people throught trouble and close to death experiences because someone prayed to him. Becasue we can not see him doesn't mean he isn't real. When a plane is at its highest altitude or a rocket on the moon. Can we see it? Of course not but we know its there. So you must know that God is there in all you see an do are you wouldn't think that you must follow the majority Gods teachings. Because deep down something is telling you he is there and that is him tugging at your heart and I pray that you find him before it is to late in life. Talk to a local pastor and ask him this question.

If you're wrong and the Bible is true, then you will go to hell, because the only unforgivable sin is not to ask Jesus to save you. Unless you're Jewish (who are bound by the "Law" of the old testament--the commandments), and I'm guessing you're not, then this applies to you. No matter how many good deeds you've done, you've still sinned, and all sin (except the unforgivable sin) is equal in the eyes of God--so if your only sin was telling a little white lie, you'd be equal to the person who's only sin was murdering his wife. If that is true, and you are as guilty as a murderer, then how could you ever hope to redeem yourself with your actions alone. And the reason faith is important because that was the purpose of free will in the first place. God wanted people to have the right to choose, so they could CHOOSE to follow Him--that was the whole purpose of free will.

If you're wrong, and if there is a God, no matter who tries to tell you what that God wants and believes and demands, the truth is (I believe anyway) that none of us know what that God wants. It would seem to be common sense that such a God would want us to do what is in keeping with the Nature He created. I, personally, don't believe there's a hell even if there's an afterlife. Again, I don't know what God thinks; but I find it hard to believe - if He exists - that he wouldn't understand your human thing of not believing.

Many people do, though, find peace and wonder and meaning in life because of their faith in their God. Keep that open mind.

I dont see how you dont, but to be honest I dont know. According to John 3:16 it says you are saved if you believe Jesus died for your sins. But then there are some verses which say you will if you reject Christ, like Matt. 31: 40. The thing with religion is that you take Gods words like the Bible and interpret them in your own way. That doesnt mean your always right about what you think. Some think you will go to hell, but I know my God as a loving God who loves you. So I dont know what God will do in the end, only He does. I do hope you find your way though. God bless

If you don't believe in God, why are you following His teachings? That doesn't make any sense. If there is no God, there is no teachings of God. If there is no teachings, there is no hell. Are you sure you don't believe? Sounds to me like you do.
It is possible to believe and not force your beliefs on others. It is possible to believe and not follow any church teachings. Spirituality is more than religion. Religion is human rules placed on something that can not possibly be ruled by humans. Spirituality is something between you and God. Only. Nothing and no one else.
I think people get to hung up on religion and quit being spiritual. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts. I read that on a bumper sticker, so you know it's true! LOL

Here is my opinion... from a logical standpoint...

If you believe in God and die, and it turns out that God is not real and religion was a big hoax, then you have lost nothing... nothing will happen to you.

However, if you do not believe in God, and you die, and it turns out that God was real, then you are screwed. See, all major religions have a "hell". And the punishment for not believing in God is a enternal stay in that hell.

So, you can play it safe and try to get to know God and earn a reward of paradise if you are right, or lose nothing if you are wrong. Or you can take a risk, spend your mortal life denying God and possibly spend an enternity in hell suffering for that choice.

Are you a gambler?

God exists! when a small stick can not move by itself, how can such a universe exist by itself? If you simply study the human body you must note that every thing is so ordered and balances and there is such an excellent system that could not have randomly been created by itslef. "does it make sense "yet" ?

well if it doesn't now

We don't have to see an artist to recognize a painting, correct? So, if we see paintings without seeing artists painting them, in the same way, we can believe that God "Allah" created everything without having to see Him
