The answer is only partly.

Terrorism is caused by injustices.
Terrorist are monsters, are killers, and criminals.

But in order for people to take up thier causes they need the poorest of the poor people with nothing to live for.

Note that the millionaires from oil money aren't blowing themselves up.

the real soultion to terrorism is to fix the injusices of the world, that includes going into these countries with people starving and feed them.
it means giving people a quality of life that makes them reject terrorism.

it means giving jusitce.

The U.S can do it, just not under the current leader as he has no intrest in justice, but in war.

Is a child born to a poor family USA's fault because they provide public assistance, or did the mother choose to misappropriate the entitlement for her own selfish purpose?

USA's support of Afghanistan during the Russian invasion was seen as an opportunity to improve our relationships with Islamic nations. Apparently, the aid provided to remove Russia from their country did nothing for their sense of gratitude. But if Afghanistan chooses to disregard the opportunity for freedom, and turn the gift against the giver, that is their choice. Like the welfare system, you have to try to help with the expectation that the responsible recipients will contribute to the good of the community, even if the aid is sometimes misused by the less scrupulous recipients.

Yes.

Good question. Osama bin Laden appears to have been a minor player in the early stages of the Afghanistan resistance to Russian occupation. There are likely some missing links in his history during the 1980's.

PBS "Frontline" has some serious transcripts of shows they've done on terrorism.

Very good question & many good answers.
The fact is that the muslims all over the word were very peace loving citizens before the USSR occupation of Afghanistan. The USA, in order to take advantage of the situation, taught muslims to become extremists. The CIA then trained those extremists to become Gorilla Fighters & were called Mujahideen (Great Worriors) and USA & Other allied Europian countries funded them to fight against USSR.
Same people are now stamped as Terrorists.

Hey Aida...

Good to respond to you again for your 2nd question. Yes it is their fault, HOWEVER, as I made reference to in the other question (Being proactive) it becomes a nesessary evil.

Your Enemy's enemy is your best friend but there is a high likelyhood that he could become your enemy as well.

Refernece WWI and WWII. The US was allied with Japan in WWI and 20 years later was the prime enemy, as with the Russians in WWII and at the very end of that the US was enetered into a COLD WAR with them.

The basic policy of the US seems to be....deal with the problem now and worry about what's to come when it finally gets here. The only advantage the US has with that "theory" is that technically the are growing faster than any potential enemy right now so that when the problem finally arises there might be others who they can "pay off" to fight their wars for them or at the very least they will be so small in comparison, that it won't even be a matter.

However, many "smaller" countries are starting to grow faster than the US and it will be only a matter of time until all hell breaks loose.

Yes, but also because:
-The US and the rest of western society supports corrupt regimes like the House of Saud who despite their nations wealth still has desperately poor people in their midst
-Because the US and western society prefers to let the Israelis deal with the Palestinian problem on their own militarily rather than either helping economically or diplomatically themselves or by encouraging Israel's Arab neighbours to do anything to help the Palestinians themselves
-Because the US in particular, but western society as a whole has very little consideration for the world beyond their own borders until they start sending suicide bombers

In short, what I'm suggesting is that it's a big problem and everyone surrounding it needs to make some big changes that no one really seems to even want to suggest.

Superpowers have been and will always be the reason for the rise of radical and extremist group they r just like school bullies who misuse there power and keep pushing the week kid around until one day he shows up in school with a gun and kills everyone. It all comes down to hunger for power and control but no one in the world can have it all cause they cant control it.
YES USA UK AND OTHER COUNTRIES ARE RESPONSIBLE.

Its incorrect to fund any terrorist regardless of their race, faith and so on in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, i do see your component, and nearly all of the posters right here can incredibly string a sentence at the same time, no longer to point have expertise approximately politics. im enormously confident i'm going to be getting thumbs down for what im going to assert now, yet to be frank i could no longer care much less. if fact be advised the yankee government is contaminated with Zionist thugs, now seen as iv only mentioned that, many might anticipate or accuse me of being anti Semitic -nicely im no longer, i do no longer hate jews, i hate Zionists, (only theory i might tell that)

Yes.... it's part of the recipe for a very profitable police state.
1) find extremist groups
2) give them money, lots of money
3) let grow till international infamy
4) launch attack against extremist group
5) give important lucrative defense contracts to friends
6) project view of righteousness
7) take away freedoms for "security" reasons
8) rinse blood off hands and repeat
9) world domination

NO, it is not the USA's fault because of anything. It is the fault of those who have brain washed their young for centuries to follow the rantings of a siezure ridden mad man who terrorized his own people.
